Dealing with Injuries
I’d like to take a moment today for those who are unable to dance or unable to dance to their fullest due to injury…
Injuries are par for the course in a dance career, but it doesn’t feel like it during the time that you are dealing with it.
Remember that this is a moment in time, not the definition of who you are as a dancer. Take the time that you need to investigate the cause and heal the condition. Seek ways to learn from the experience.
Look for stories of dancers who have overcome similar problems and persevered. It will encourage patience in you.
Address the fear of reoccurrence. It takes faith to carry on in this field and faith overcomes fear.
You are valuable and this too shall pass.
